The new pathology laboratory at Campbelltown Hospital's Acute Services Building is almost double the size of the previous lab, which is fantastic as the number of clinical chemistry and haematology tests performed has almost doubled in the last four years.
The pathology service will be further expanded with the number of blood collection rooms set to double (by a further three) and three collection rooms conveniently co-located with ambulatory care, antenatal and outpatient clinics on a specialist floor within the building.
The new lab and the Acute Services building are the centrepiece of the hospital's $134-million redevelopment.
