Owen Hammond

owen-hammondOwen is leading the governance and methodology for the organisation's procurement and capital planning.

A series of roles managing the lifecycle of major assets has prepared him for his current position. This includes procurement and management of complex capital works and sustainability projects for the federal government and a secondment to the UK Ministry of Defence as strategic advisor to the reform of its fixed asset portfolio. He also worked for the United Nations in Iraq and the Royal Australian Air Force as an airbase asset manager.

Owen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Masters in Science from Cranfield UK. He was awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross for work in assisting the disarmament of Iraq.

Owen supports diversity in the workplace, particularly diversity in staff professions and experience. He empathizes with the demise of Socrates.
