Director of Workforce and Culture

Martin leads the organisation’s workforce and human resource functions and has overall responsibility for recruitment, safety and well-being, and learning and development.

Martin has more than 18 years experience in a broad range of human resource roles in both public and private sectors. Prior to joining NSW Health Pathology Martin was the Employee Relations Manager for Hunter New England Local Health District. Martin has also previously worked as a union industrial officer and an industrial advocate for a state employer association. He also has significant experience with major organisation change and reform programs. Martin has a Bachelor’s Degree in economics from the University of Newcastle, a Bachelor’s Degree in law with honours from Macquarie University and a Master’s Degree in labour law and relations from the University of Sydney.
